Sunday Morning Faith Formation Opportunities for Adults
The InquirersÕ Class
9:00am in the Lower
Level Conference Room, a series beginning February 5
The Rev. Irv Cutter leads an overview of the Episcopal Church and life at St. JohnÕs. The series is for newcomers who are curious to learn about our church, as well as for people who have made the decision to join and formally make St. JohnÕs their church home.
The InquirersÕ Class is also a great resource as a refresher course for people who may have been inactive for a while and want to get re-engaged with parish life. The series will cover worship, the basics of the faith, spirituality; weÕll also look at our spiritual gifts and try to discern how we might offer ourselves in service in the congregation.
Members of the InquirersÕ Class will get the chance to be presented to Bishop Ed Konieczny for confirmation when he visits St. JohnÕs on Sunday, May 14.
Sunday Forums

The Canterbury
Ringers
Joseph Arndt and Carteena Robohm are pleased to announce a new music ensemble for the youth of Saint JohnÕs. The Canterbury Ringers will be a group of young ringers in grades 3-12. Rehearsals will be on Sundays at 11:15 for a half hour, beginning February 12. No musical experience is required Š just an interest in making music with other kids. Contact Joseph (jarndt@sjtulsa.org) or Carteena (paws4music@redshift.com) for more information.
Music at Midday
Music at Midday resumes on March 8. Recitals are on Wednesdays at noon followed by a homemade lunch offered for $5. Several distinguished guest artists and ensembles will be featured this spring, including baroque violinist James Andrewes, the Holland Hall Singers, trumpeter Steve Haefner, and organist Adam Pajan (organ faculty member at OU). Janice Ingle and Carolyn Shorten are already planning their delicious meals, which are at least as popular as the music.
Young Adults
The Young Adults group is open to parishioners in their 20s, 30s, and 40s. An important ministry we provide is the Young Adults Greeter Program on Sunday mornings. Contact Hannah Hicks (hannah.hicks@okstate.edu) if you are a young adult and are interested in serving as a greeter.
The young adults Third Thursday series continues. We gather monthly for dinner and often a guest speaker. Contact Joseph Arndt (jarndt@sjtulsa.org) for more information.

Practicing the Art
of Tai Chi:
The Gentle Path to Fitness
Mondays and
Wednesdays at 9:00am
in Powell Hall
Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese form of exercise thought to have been formulated by monks as a simple way to keep physically and mentally fit in order to live a healthy life. Tai Chi teaches balance and posture; improves patience, coordination, breathing and memory; helps adjust oneÕs weight; increases both mental and physical stamina; allows one to remain calm at stressful moments; and builds self-confidence.
Tai Chi is open to everyone who is patient and takes the time to learn the movements. Instructor Nancy C. Anderson has set up classes with much interaction between instructor and students. Each class is small and intimate, with individual attention for every student.
Questions? Contact Nancy Anderson: 918-430-5525, or dragonheart-hk@cox.net.
